• Mining consultants Canada - Completed a comprehensive, independent audit of all aspects of a major Canadian underground and surface mine coal producer located in Alberta. Evaluated potential mining reserve areas and to prepare independent mine plans and cost projections. Study also included:
  • Develop detailed mine costs.
  • Evaluate operational issues relating to room and pillar and longwall mining.
  • Review geologic conditions and identify preferred reserve areas.
  
  
  
• MIning consultants Canada - Evaluated the remaining reserves of a major lignite deposit in Saskatchewan to opine on mining feasibility and ability to supply required quantities and qualities to power generating facilities. Assignment included:
  • Estimate mineable reserves and quality.
  • Prepare detailed mine plans and design.
  • Provide equipment recommendations and specifications.
  • Evaluate staffing requirements.
  • Prepare capital and operating cost estimates.
  • Complete an environmental assessment.
  
  
  
• Performed a detailed study of select Mexican mining operations to supply required quantities and qualities of coal to an in-country coal-fired generating facility. Our work scope included an assessment of:
  • Coal reserves and quality.
  • Mine plans and costs.
  • Material handling requirements.
  • Rail transport infrastructure.
  • Suitability of coal to existing boiler requirements.
  • Potential alternate coal sources from the US.
