• Non-coal processing experience

Experienced MAPTEK-VULCAN Software User

John T. Boyd Company, an International mining and geological consulting firm is pursuing an experienced MAPTEK-VULCAN software user. The candidate is capable of completing geologic modeling of coal and mineral deposits from first principles, and mine planning, surface and underground.

General Requirements:

• A minimum a Bachelors degree in Geology or Mining Engineering, with a Registered Geologist certification preferred.
• At least 5 years of mining industry experience in mine modeling preferably in coal and industrial minerals.
• Excellent Project Management skills as well as interpersonal skills, initiative, and strong technical report writing capabilities.
• US and International travel required
• Based in home office outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
