We are neither “defense” nor “plaintiff” experts”, nor do we simply agree to work on cases based upon a request to do so. Instead, when contacted regarding a mining-related accident, we first determine if a BOYD professional has the pertinent industry experience to assess the merits of the case. The appropriate individual then reviews initial information and provides preliminary independent opinions. If the subject opinions are consistent with the needs of the party, BOYD’s engagement can then commence.
